I do think the main causes of the high figures are booze and other drugs. I'm told that the psychiatric hospitals have a lot of people suffering from cannabis psychosis as patients these days which must mean that there are a number suffering from cocaine psychosis etc too plus the effects of drinking more and this must spill back into society with people suffering from these illnesses as boarderline cases.

With the major psychiatric hospitals being closed a lot of people must feel as if there isn't much help.

From what I'm told about help in years gone by it was very mixed but there were places for people who needed it which helped them and the community more. Made it easier to see just what was happening too.

I hope we're heading towards things being sorted out .. though, to be honest, you get the impression that a lot of people want to keep society as it is and will fight hard to do so surprizingly with the implicit support of a lot of other people.

That's been my experience anyway. I find it very strange and I hope it turns out, once the government get moving. to not be the county's view at all and those figures will be less this time next year.

At the moment I have little hope in some ways .. going by experience past .. but I am hopeful that things could change.

The figures were ridiculous in some ways with what they implied .. that the UK was more violent than SA at the moment .. figures can seem to show the ridiculous at times .. but. even so, it would be nice to see them tumble!!!
