Almost out of some of me pills again
Almost run out of some of my medication today too .. not a good thing right at the moment. It was the mycophenolate .. the suppliers hadn't delivered it to my chemist but had given a delivery date and I had just enough to see me through til then. So, I went in today and it hadn't arrived and they were now saying Monday. A week should've been long enough to sort it out you'd think .. not leaving it over another weekend too.
Fortunately things turned out fine. Another chemist had a few and my chemist went to collect them. I'd found a few in the flat as well, but these were my last. I phoned the pharmacy at the hospital and found they had a few too. I suspect both the stock at the other chemist and at the hospital pharmacy possibly stemmed from my prescriptions .. it's quite a rare drug to prescribe and I only take it cause I didn't respond well to the drug that's usually prescribed .. that one mimicked a corticosteroid side effect in me surprizingly which the corticosteroids themselves didn't. I think I might have written about it. It made me very stiff as well.
Anyway .. the the problem was sorted in the end .. but in future I'll make sure I always have a fortnight's extra supply of that in and I expect my chemist will always keep an extra supply too. The chemist did have some extra in but there wasn't enough to cover the length of time the supplier was keeping them waiting. You wouldn't think it'd take over a week to get them to the chemists. It's not the first time there's been a problem with them.
There was quite a long time ago with the enteric coated corticosteroids as well. Think I blogged about that .. a chemist in Warwick had got a lot in cause he'd heard on the grapevine that there might be a problem .. and I went up there to get them.
