tempus fugit

Should've asked today how one of my other neighbours us .. will next time I see the bloke I was talking to today. My friend hasn't seen her for about two years so I guess she might've moved .. it seems strange to miss someone who lives just a couple of streets away for that long. Well, will ask the next person I know who knows her. Hope she's OK. I bumped into her when I came down while mum was still around and she wasn't too well then .. reckon it's possible that she might've moved to live with her daughter.

Have heard that someone else isn't too well either. Hope I see her soon.

Have lost their phone numbers so can't ring. Used to see her and her best friend around a lot so ... hopefully.

The time just flies these days .. don't know why .. seems no sooner than I'm up than it's time to go to bed again. They say your perception of time changes when you get older and that it does seem to speed up but this is daft. Guess it might be because I'm occupied all the time too though .. no time for time to drag.

There's just so much to do.

Talking about time flying ... there's an article on my home page saying can you believe Gwen Stefani is 40? One of the things that makes me aware of the passing time isn't new people coming onto the entertainment scene and them being from younger generations but that people I thought of as being from a younger generation are now 40!!!

The person who most amazes me as far as getting older .. cutting out the rest .. is Boy George. I remember him and Culture Club .. and the group Haysifantayzee .. as being the people from a new generation that made me sit up and listen.

Ofcourse, the first new people on the music scene really were Glam Rock I guess .. after the hippy era and Country Joe and the scene that went with that. I loved the music from Sweet, Mud etc .. my favourite from that time were Hello.

It was a lot of fun.
