Another yoga teacher's exercises

This appears to be a very good article by someone who has helped her asthma through breathing techniques. With exercises to save and print out.

I remember having an asthmatic friend who used to drink coffee with tumeric sprinkled in them to help with his asthma. Apparently coffee helps open the airways .. I expect every person with asthma knows that but it seems that you should only have so much a day so the tumeric helped to space it out a bit more through the initial effect and/or having a cup of hot water with some sprinkled in it separate from the coffee a couple of times during the day. Dunno if teas ... lol .. with tumeric in them would help. Ones with mullein should help get mucus up too. I was going to buy some mullein from Neal's Yard the other day to add to my spice/herb collection .. but just stared at it for a little while and decided to think about it. Wonder what it tastes like .. I suppose it doesn't really matter.

Mullein grows in Streatham .. lol .. it's a plant you won't forget if you see it as it grows to about 6 feet tall.

He also used to drink hot chocoolate for the same reasons as the tumeric and coffee.

Think he used to use about half a teaspoon of tumeric. Best not on an empty tum .. he used to drink it in water or milky coffee .. through reading this morning I've found that some people do drink it in milk.

Anyway. I'll look at the other two exercises that are meant to help asthma. I don't know what rhythm he teaches they be practiced at or where your arms should be or whether you should be sitting or standing. Guess you'd have to do the course to find out all that but knowing these exercises is a start. I wish I'd kept the phone number of the woman in Birmingham now.

There was a study done a couple of months ago that showed a link between yoga and improving asthma symptoms

The symptoms improved by almost 50% after 10 weeks.
